people rightfully getting enraged by how fuellmich is treated and in the same breath want their perceived enemies prosecuted by the same system. real galaxybrains.

@icedquinn i read a bit on the website and i haven't got a real clue how it works. not sure if because the page is extremely verbose and already talks about version 2 whoch os totally great but not quite ready, because of the cold i have, or both :)

Concord is now officially a failure

"we have decided to take the game offline beginning September 6, 2024"

"sales will cease immediately and we will begin to offer a full refund for all gamers who have purchased the game"
@bonifartius
It's complicated
--Life-alienating communication both stems from and support hierarchical or domination society, where large populations are controlled by a small number of individuals to those individuals own benefit. It would be in the interest of kings, czars, nobles and so forth that the masses be educated in a way that renders them slavelike in mentality. The language on wrongness, should, and have to is perfectly suited for this purpose: the more people are trained to think in terms of moralistic judgement that imply wrongness and badness, the more they are being trained to look outside of themselves - to look outside authorities-for the definition of what constitutes right, wrong, good, and bad. When we are in contact with our feelings and needs, we humans no longer make good slaves and underlings. --

@mangeurdenuage that's a pretty good video (i think you might already have posted it some years ago :) not totally sure about the level 9, because from there on it's just recursion ;)

i completely agree on the quote.

modern programming is like,

"if you're using bongo.rs to parse http headers, you will need to also install bepis to get buffered read support. but please note that bepis switched to using sasquatch for parallel tokenization as of version 0.0.67, so you will need the bongo-sasquatch extension crate as well."

old-time programming is like,

"i made a typo in this function in 1993. theo de raadt got so angry he punched a wall when he saw it. for ABI compatibility reasons, we shan't fix the typo."
