I'm seeing lots of posts from journalists saying "We journalists will never stick around on Mastodon unless we get this or that feature that makes it more like Twitter".

I'm OK with that. Journalists are welcome not to stick around. No-one's forcing them to be here. I'm happy just to share the space with my friends. Not being broadcast to is, if anything, a feature.

All I want for Christmas is universal health care, universal basic income, no machine guns in private hands, higher taxes on billionaires, free breakfast and lunches for everyone at free schools, and maybe a book and some good chocolate.

I'm loving my time with cousins. The 1yo twins and I are doing great, too; one waas stacking play-doh containers with me and clapping when he got them all. The other is asking me to carry him around and playing the piano from my lap.

So much fun.
