Paraphrasing, but this is what I just heard in a meeting, from the same person:

"We can't use open source because it's too much work."

"We cobbled together a bunch of proprietary services to create a complete workflow, but those tools weren't working, so we're switching to a monolithic proprietary service that doesn't provide the same functions, and we'll cobble other proprietary services on top of it to round it out."

The presence of a library in a container that glibc dynamically loads when it sees it which causes a segfault on one machine but not another because of kernel/init differences/bugs... what a nightmare.

The trans religion is very similar, but I'd argue a bit more insidious; Gender activists tell 98% of the population that they're born with original sin, *but then* offer an easy way out: Join the "right" team by changing your identity and maybe taking some hormones, too. And of course, questioning this is blasphemy.

You're told that all of the purity tests and piety signaling are some force against "violence". Even mentioning "free speech" gets you marked as a violent person, and that silencing you is how to stop the "violence"

Meanwhile, they do nothing about the people they supposedly claim to be helping, being thrown off of buildings and beheaded for being gay in middle eastern countries. You know, actual violence. Because that would require something more than Tweets and 5 minute segments on MSNBC.
