Correct. I have made this argument for decades.
Corporations that are convicted of a crime should serve that sentence in jail, i.e. no activity for the jail term, no sales and marketing, no development, nothing...
Instead we have fines, which corporations simply call "cost of doing business".
And the anarchist in me says; Corporations are a State construct, to provide a veil of freedom when it is an instrument of further control (tax collection most obvious one).

I sure haven't and for me this figures into the whole issue of corporations being legally considered "persons".
Like, if we have a bunch of places where people can be killed through a court order – why can't the same be done to companies?
And if people can get jailed – why can't companies?
Do they really just get the benefits of "personhood" without any of the negative ramifications that are supposed to hold persons in society accountable?

Ok I spoke too soon, this just came out today. Australia is still fucking insane. Unvaccinated teachers who were fired last year were invited back to work this year and now they are going to have their pay docked as a penalty for not getting the completely useless vaccine.
