Back when I was much younger I had a thing with a nerdy girl. It was a lot of fun, but it was also a reminder that there are more things to being compatible than just hobbies and interests. I ended up marrying a nice Christian girl (which at the time I did not see coming) because although she and I didn't share any interests, there were a lot of more fundamental things that we did share and that helped us get along very well.
