I don't really *want* to write about #chatgpt. So much exposure already.

But proposals for using things like handwritten assignments for authenticity checking (washingtonpost.com/opinions/20) draw me back in, because I've worked a lot with handwritten assignments over the years. It's a useful tool for pedagogy, but focusing on thwarting generative AI misses the point entirely.
