I don't really *want* to write about #chatgpt. So much exposure already.
But proposals for using things like handwritten assignments for authenticity checking (https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2022/12/29/handwritten-essays-defeat-chatgpt/) draw me back in, because I've worked a lot with handwritten assignments over the years. It's a useful tool for pedagogy, but focusing on thwarting generative AI misses the point entirely.
