@JortsTheCat Hey @JortsTheCat , did you know that if you ask Alexa how to start a union at work she tells you to go to HR?

Don't do that.

A freebie book idea: science mutates a fungus and a bacterium that, when combined, digests plastic into an industrially useful oily substance quickly enough that we now have effective plastic recycling. An industrial accident releases the active agents into the environment.

I wanna see this guy do it. Not that I don't think he could, but because time-sense goes right out the window when you focus on something and really think about it, and what feels like 5 minutes often isn't and he probably doesn't code as fast as he thinks he does.

It's all an illusion, of course, but it's a good one, and it's giving people what they want, which is a simple and direct way to make a computer do stuff. We want this to be true so bad it's dangerous. People will get hurt because the vibes are too good.

You go up to chatGPT, and ask it to do work you want done in a normal regular way, and it responds immediately with something that looks like what you wanted done. It's snappy, it's direct, and it's SIMPLE. If you're not too discriminating, it feels like it JUST WORKS.

My own nonexpert opinion is that chatGPT should be viewed as a UX nuclear weapon. In a very real sense, chatGPT doesn't *do* anything but input and output meaningless piles of words, but the vibes are absolutely exquisite. It feels like how computers should work.

The "I don't want to interact with other people" thing has been building in our society for a while now. It's a deep topic, and I won't do it justice.

I've been following the fishtopher saga from the beginning, and I can honestly say how pleasantly surprised I am to continue to learn every day what a regular-ass housecat he turned out to be. Perfectly ordinary in the best way possible.

I was going to add snark to the fire, but I won't. Instead, I will share a thing I learned from @AliceAvizandum, in that cops are weirdly vulnerable to being scammed.

I basically agree, except also I expect that one state will attempt to annex a portion of another in our lifetimes. My guess is Idaho trying to grab part of Oregon. No clue how that might shake out.

No, wait, hear me out. Big orange cats aren't all the same. For instance, Sandal (who haunts @Dbwagner104) is an absolute unit, while @JortsTheCat is a complete himbo. It may seem like a subtle difference, but it's vital.

Hands up if you're a gamer and your mom could still absolutely bodyslam you at Tetris to this day.

One of the biggest scams ever pulled on the American people is the illusion that we are split 50/50. It's not even close in a bunch of ways.

I've been going deep at work using and honestly, I shouldn't be surprised but I'm continually surprised at how different fully static sites are compared to SPAs and MPAs. I thought I could pull techniques from both but it's turning out I can't really steal much from either.

Just to try to get this out into the internet, keycloakjs is simply not going to play nicely with your static site generators. Keycloak either wants an spa or a server-side mpa.
