Now got the menus working. Next is the widgets. I can't seem to get those going with the keyboard, for some reason.
Now I have to create a menu just to make a page show. well wish me luck and let's hope I don't accidentally destroy the world while I'm at it.
Dammit all. are you freaking kidding me? The default Wordpress theme doesn't have any menus by default. Hello pages disappearing ... They're there, just hiding. Thanks, guys.

I'm beginning to think that switching everything to wordpress might not have been the best idea?
Not quite sure why in the world Wordpress default theme doesn't allow for adding pages to the menu? I can see them, but the add button is grayed out?
