I don't hear people talking about Pythagoras enough. Nowadays he's just the triangle guy (a^2 + b^2 = c^2) but back in the day he was a cult leader. He basically used secret math stuff to start a triangle worshiping cult; that's pretty hilarious in my mind.

@commandelicious That's surprisingly apt. Anywhere where knowledge has turned into priestcraft as a book I read put it.

Once it becomes the domain of only specialists it becomes prone to dogma and superstition.
