William Gibson's #ThePeripheral is an astonishing book, one of my very favourites. So I've been reluctant to watch the Amazon TV adaptation for fear of yet another disappointment. (I'm still sad about American Gods, let alone the woeful Rings Of Power).
But it's a triumph. Maybe the best TV show I have seen this year. Certainly the best high-concept sci-fi in years. Every character has depth, every single role is perfectly cast and acted. That's rare in that genre.
