I greeted a special guest in my dressing room after Saturday’s matinee.

Brandon Gruber portrayed one of the youth in the Palo Alto Players production of Allegiance in 2022. Brandon is a board member of the National Downs Syndrome Society. His maternal grandfather was imprisoned at Heart Mountain, where Allegiance takes place.

These great snowshoes have taken me safely for many miles of mountainous terrain over the past two winters. Obsessed with the ribbons produced by the German manufacturer C. Pauli. In 2018, C. Pauli acquired an old ribbon factory in Wuppertal, Germany to keep the craft alive in that location. Their current products are absolutely stunning, featuring floral and nature motifs.
