@averagedood @thelinuxexperiment It's still a proposal. And it's not that bad tbh: it's opt-in, the data will be anonymous, the tool is open-source and they're transparent about it. So why not ?

If they're completely transparent, depending on the info it collects, I may be even willing to opt-in, but I got really worried it was going to be a mandatory thing

@averagedood @curiousmind @thelinuxexperiment we should be more open on transparent data collection. We are used to companies profiling people for selling ads instead of using telemetry to improve the product. FOSS community is not interested in selling your data. It can be just a good thing to help the development of our favorite softwares
