@cjd @elston_ Israel just wants the Gaza thorn removed, and to retake Judaea and Samaria (what Arab colonizers call the West Bank). They also want to destroy Iran’s ability to project proxy force. So far they’re CRUSHING it. But maybe Elston is right. The Muslims are just biding their time while Israel annihilates their entire jihad infrastructure, waiting for just the right moment to deliver that mythic devastating blow after just enough muj have been slaughtered. I don't apply plebeian morality to geopolitics, that's just stupid. If Israel does what benefits Israel, that's just being a normal country.

Where I think there will be tension is that Israel needs manpower to build their country, and the easiest way to get that is by convincing Jews to move there. The problem is nobody really wants to move to the desert. So the most straightforward way to convince Jews to move is to make them feel unsafe where they live. So paradoxically, Israel benefits from antisemitism in the west.

@cjd @elston_ I share this exact concern. But they also need a thriving diaspora that sends cash. So there are tensions in that area.
