One of his customers had committed (real) wire fraud worth $500k via email using a server at the datacenter. So 150 innocent businesses were shutdown, $12 million corporate assets confiscated (shutting down a google voice call center among other things). Despite the court finding no money received and no specific wrongdoing, he is in jail for life for "conspiracy". The FBI agent lied and said the personal server had been "wiped". 7 years, after all recourse expired, the FBI crime lab finally released the affidavit - which said the opposite (personal server fully readable with provided password).
