Caving in to right-wing insurrectionists and their chaos isn't the solution. It’s the problem. https://twitter.com/nytimes/status/1611001447201529863

BTW, here's a little interesting fact. You may have noticed that cameras in the House the last few days are frequently focusing on groups of congresspersons and areas other than the front of the chamber. This is NOT typical. C-SPAN operates the cameras and feeds them out. Normally, House leadership controls where the cameras point, and that is virtually always to the front, avoiding any other areas or groups of persons in the chamber. But with the House leadership in limbo, C-SPAN has full control, and they're wisely making the most of it!
I've been struggling with this myself, so I thought I'd repeat it for other people that might be dealing with the same thing:
Not every hobby needs to be a project. Not everything needs to be a whole *thing* with a goal and an endpoint. It's okay to not finish something. It's okay to pick up something for a bit, explore it, start making something, and then drop it without making any "progress".
Productivity is capitalist bullshit that doesn't need to infect your free time too. Have some fun
Lynn Conway, electricial engineer and computer scientist, co-architect of the VLSI design revolution, and transgender activist, was born #OTD in 1938.
She invented Dynamic Instruction Scheduling at IBM, but IBM fired her when they learned she was transitioning.

The tone of this story seems like a departure for the New York Times. It doesn’t pretend Elise Stefanik is sincere (which she isn’t) and it doesn’t pretend she might be telling the truth (which she isn’t). It’s an excellent story about a dangerous fascist. https://www.nytimes.com/2022/12/31/us/politics/elise-stefanik.html?smid=nytcore-ios-share&referringSource=articleShare

Sunset from Monday over the big lake. Vertical shot. If you haven't changed your image settings, you'll need to smash it to see the entire image.
One of the best sunsets of the year!

Within a few days a new server bill will present itself, please think about supporting if you can ❤️
