@julesberry Just started with Mastodon and #zwift. Trying to get an accurate Z2 workout this afternoon as yesterday's was too easy = too low a HR. Need to find a comfier seat for my #Wattbike as well, the current one is far too hurty after an hour :D
@julesberry I considered a rocker but reckon the Wattbike would be too meaty for it. Plus I’m not sure I could sneak that purchase past a wife who is still miffed about me buying a Synapse 😁
@davidax … as for saddles, everyone is different. Measure your sit bone distance and work from there. Finding good shorts and saddles inevitably includes expensive mistakes, but after a few trials you may start to learn what shapes are more likely to work for you, and so become luckier! Specialized are quite good - they make a big range and have a 30 day returns policy, even if you have used it! I think they will also help with fitting, at their concept store thingies… ?
@julesberry I’ve a fair few saddles, tonight’s worked quite well. Trouble with shorts is that weight is dripping off me so what might fit now won’t in a month or two. Consequently, I’m making do until I hit close to my target weight.
@davidax For Z2, a ramp test (you can find them in your workouts) is probably the easiest way to get an estimate of your ftp (and thus your other zones). In terms of comfort, I recently purchased a #rockerplate from Omnirocker. Bit of a risk (large and expensive) but it seems to have almost instantly cured the repetitive injuries that were being continually inflamed by my severe addiction to #zwift. 🤣
