Measles was eliminated from the United States in 2000. We recently un-eliminated it, which has now led to cancellation of some of my kids' activities. The failure to maintain measles elimination status is a national embarrassment.

Someone recently said something like "we've all got that pandemic mindset," the amped up & raw, exposed moods people seem to have. Maybe awareness of that & reconnecting to (& improving on) the things we did to survive that time will help us navigate and even thrive in these difficult times.

If you know what's right, do it. If you know what's wrong, don't do it.

Don't be shy about telling the truth. Don't be afraid to question what you believe to be true.

We should never take human life casually. When a government takes a life- particularly the life of one of its citizens or residents- it should be reviewed with due oversight and accountability.

How is the way you look at the world weird or different?

Yesterday marked 5 years since the violence at the Capitol. Trump's pardon of all those convicted of crimes committed that day was not just, right, or wise.
