We often hear, "Stop judging me," or "You're so judgy," as if it were somehow bad to know right from wrong. At the same time, we have entire industries driven by seeking and monetizing the approval of others. Calibrate your search for approval and your desire for justice accordingly.
1 Corinthians 4:4-5: "For I am not conscious of [any judgment] against myself, but I am not justified by this. The One who evaluates me is the Lord. Therefore don’t judge anything prematurely, before the Lord comes, who will both bring to light what is hidden in darkness and reveal the intentions of the hearts. And then praise will come to each one from God."
“There is no more difficult art than to exercise great power well; all the serious military, diplomatic, and economic decisions we have now to take will depend on how correctly we measure our power, how truly we see its possibilities /within/ its limitations. Great as it is, American power is limited. Within its limits, it will be far greater or less, depending on the ends for which it is used.“ -Walter Lippman
