@posrev @CSB exactly - it s only a matter of the balance of power...

@CSB @posrev Poland (well, 2/3 of it with Warszaw, the rest being Austrian and German) was part of the Russian Empire for...200 years? The Soviets were cautious though and installed there a friendly regime "only".

@thor @posrev @CSB Are sure that they would? And how? You have to deploy a large amount of troops in a very short period of time. The troops being transported are vulnerable to attacks. And the number of troops stationed there now is low. The only armies which could be of any importance in this case are those of the US, Britain and Turkey.Only Turkey borders Russia. And look at the polls, the majority of the population in those countries would not want to see their guys die for, say, Estonia...

@thor @posrev @CSB Ok, Ukraine is done, no doubt. Who is the next? The Baltics, Poland (NATO) or Finland (neutral)?

@carolen Oh...are they already in Kyiv? To stand with the people of Ukraine...

@carolen By the way, folks in Russia believe that being gay is due to some virus...maybe that would scare the Russians off?!

@BlueDouche yeah, it definitely did...in Manchuria on land at that time as well. Russia got busted by the people with the yamato spirit, by the great Empire of The Rising Sun :) The population of which did not consider it to be "none of our business"

@BlueDouche Alaska used to be Russian. Parts of CA too. You sure, that the amount paid for it was fair? Just asking...

@carolen But why on Earth isn't it discussed much?! I am sort of unsure....

@obihahn @zonz Don't you know that famous clairvoyant type of crisis?! It happens way ahead of the events.

@zonz Make no mistakes. Its all about tactics...Old Joe is going to bore the Villain to death....

@freemo oh, ok..thanks for the info...then I got it wrong....but I still can not find any figures on any mass migration to the UK from the colonies during the empire's existence...perhaps there had been restricting regulations.

@freemo @freemo The Empire broke down in the 50s, the immigrants started to arrive en masse in the 70s....a strange shift, isn't it?😃
