@Tutanota The most important is the ability to download (export) emails to your hard drive in a standard format you can use with standard email engines. For free.

IMAP is a great standard, it has many more great features (automation, managing multiple accounts etc.). You could also try making Tutanota compatible with IMAP itself. Protonmail kinda failed in implementing IMAP, it's not even available to normal users, and the Bridge is a separate closed source program with restrictions.

We come to #mastodon to escape centralization and control, but even here the main instances are run by SJWs censoring #freespeech. People should use instances that don't block other -- free -- instances.
