Man, couldn't the qoto admin have just left it at sending a few emails instead of all this
@anna basically spamming fediblock with long unhinged rants, tagging everyone, demanding everyone contribute to the qoto discourse as a reaction to people blocking qoto

Like annoying your way into retribution is not going to pan out the way you think

@eris @anna The problem is that there aren't formal dispute resolution mechanisms in place ... All people can do is flail around and hope that resolves the problem once they are blocked.

@dimi @anna my point is mainly that he's making the issue far worse for himself by demanding everyone contribute to the discourse, tagging Gargron, etc. I've already seen a few instances block over it, and it's definitely taken over the fediblock tag as spammy

@eris @anna Ya. He's in a no-win situation. The alternative is he does nothing and finds himself more and more sidelined and ostracized. Same outcome either way but probably better to be involved in it than have it happen passively.

@dimi @eris @anna the "formal dispute resolution" is called email. If you can't find an email, then that admin doesn't want to be bothered. If you do find one, and they don't respond, then that admin doesn't want to be bothered. If the admin responds by telling you to fuck off, then that admin doesn't want to be bothered

Freemo's problem is that he can't take "I don't care" for an answer
@lewdthewides @dimi @anna in most cases admins will outright treat an email as harassment even if it's admin to admin lol
@eris @dimi @anna as long as I say please, they can't interpret it however they want. At least I know I wasn't rude trying to settle the dispute like a gentleman :yui_shrug:
