I have one really good (to me) reason to be irritated by Wayland: It completely breaks auto-type in KeePassXC. That feature is a lifesaver and works like a charm on my Windows PC. But on #Linux with #Wayland? Completely broken. And I'm pretty sure this is by design because Wayland prevents applications from being able to just control each other.
Wayland is supposed to be THE Linux window compositor going forward into the future, and yet it's still steps backward compared to X.org. 🙄
