Seeing people excited about plane travel to fly to a conference is weird. Far too many people act like the whole thing blew over a year ago—it absolutely did not. 😷

A lot of the same conference goers work in accessibility, but they don’t seem to care that shifting back to a fully in-person conference is inaccessible and puts us right back to excluding disabled and vulnerable people who were included when everything was online by default at the peak of the pandemic. 🤷

How different do you think things are now vs. before the pandemic? If I had a vulnerable immune system, I simply would not have gone to conferences back then either. I went to a conference in October and I'm pretty sure I got the flu there; it was rough! If I had been immunocompromised it could have been a lot more serious.
