It’s just so hard for most of us to get the indoctrination out of our head that public school put there about being a loyal pawn for the 1%. That’s what got us in this mess and it’s why Republicans always put the socialist label on anything that helps people climb out of the rut they’re in. It works almost every time

Ever consider that it’s populated by critical-thinking people who can see through the smokescreen put up by those who want to keep the status quo and are afraid of losing some of what they have to the unknown of unexpected change? @bouriquet I don't get your question. I never said idpol lefties were stupid or anything? So sure: they do some good work fighting some of that kind of power. Also in fighting unintentional systems that make some people's lives worse (e.g. "systemic racism") – IMO that's where they really shine. I think they get a few really important things wrong, but yeah! What you said.
That doesn't mean it's useful to call someone you disagree with a fascist, of course. That's trash political marketing, aside from any issues with intellectual honesty.
