If anyone censors anything, the uncensored parts will be leaked (too many people know or have access) and then the story become the censorship.

If only Democrats are appointed to investigate Republicans, that looks partisan.

Better to confront

Now, imagine this:

Instead of attacking Hur as a partisan hack who has no qualification for assessing a person's memory, Democrats start attacking the DOJ for not appointing someone loyal to Biden.

See how that looks?

The 10% of highly engaged partisans on Twitter and MSNBC will cheer.

But the vast majority of Americans will feel disgusted and they won't be able to tell the difference between a Trump DOJ and a Biden DOJ.

Most people don't want a Trump DOJ.
