#AI is a large discipline that has been around for 70 years. It's not going anywhere.

I work for #Siemens and we use AI in many ways, and have done for 30 years. For example: to predict when machines are likely to fail, to have parts ordered, and available just when they are needed, to help manage factories more efficiently.

The amount of data now available from the Internet of Things (IoT) means we can use AI to learn about patterns in data that we didn't previously know existed.

That's _statistics_. If someone is doing _statistics_ and calling it "AI", it usually means they aren't very good at statistics.
