I am formatting a manuscript for submission to an unusually picky journal. This instruction caught my eye:

Font should be seraph-free and when published be 3-5 mm in height (1/8 to 3/16 inch).

Right. Got it. No angels in the fonts.

@mike I guess the font isn't allowed to provide a character for ꙮ , the ten-eyed cyrillic O used in reference to many-eyed angels.

@llewelly That is AMAZING! I had no idea such a character existed.

Now I am very very tempted to sneak that character into one of the figure labels, and see whether the editor realises what I've done.
