Right now, I really really really need to be focusing on a uni project.
At this point I still have to write most of the code which will have to happen within a few days; I've already started lying about my current progress.

But what am I doing? Figuring out a nice little chord sequence 🙄. Or else, watching a series, looking up random stuff on the web...

I really need to stop running away 😑

Dinner

7 days per week: pasta + cooked vegetables
(exaggerated for mastodon purposes)

"You know, eqyo, you could really use some more variation in your diet..."
"Hey at least I make my own meals... and I vary the veg! (to a limited extent)"
"eqyo, come on, you literally eat pasta every single day."
(sighs) "Okay, you do have a point..."

6 days per week: pasta + cooked vegetables
1 day per week: chips (UK) / fries (US) + mayonnaise

One thing I dislike about social media in general is just the sheer pace, the way you don't tend to see or interact with anything older than a few days.
Also on Mastodon, there seems (?) to be the expectation that you don't reply to older posts... at least, I don't see it happen and it's discouraged by the "timeline" model.

Slightly better...

I'm already running into a construct validity issue here (where there is a gap between the measured construct and the reality it's supposed to represent). Both going to bed and getting up are often not continuous processes for me, and the data simplifies this away.
Last night I laid in bed for a while, still in my clothes, before thinking, "Alright, let's actually go to bed" and got back up to brush my teeth and stuff.
And this morning, I got out of bed still in my nightclothes, did some things, then went back in for a bit.
In both cases, the data only captures the final timestamp when I'm "fully" in bed / up.

"eqyo, why are you turning everything into a science rant" I know, I know, I'll stop, I see looking at the clock that I should've turned this thing off 9 minutes ago, anyway.

On a similar note, I think mastodon's direct message feature should come with a big flashy warning explaining that it's not end-to-end encrypted, that the operators of the servers of both communicating parties can read them.
I think there should also be an option to turn them off completely rather than only to restrict them to the people you follow.

Slight correction: without committing in any way except that the instance owners can see your subscriptions.

I think I'll start a thread where I post every day how late my computer was off the day before, how late I went to bed and how late I got up.
Reason is: my sleeping schedule is kind of screwed up at the moment. The theory is 23:00-00:00-09:00, but I keep going to bed too late.
My conventional methods have failed, so I guess I'll try accountability through social media.

Followed some people... kind of having trouble to not just click "follow" on all the nice people, but I guess it's better I don't if I cannot read the language they post in or am not that interested in the topics they post about...
Also, I think I really like the "subscribe" feature (not sure how widespread it is among instances?) and the fact that mastodon has rss feeds, which I guess it's based on. It means you can easily read someone's toots without committing in any way. I'm now subscribed to more people than I'm following lol

One of the coming days I should do a big search look for accounts to follow or subscribe to.
I've also seen there are "BirdsiteLIVE" instances which seem to allow mastodon accounts to follow twitter accounts? That would be nice, ending the Nitter-visiting habit.
