If #COVID19 gaslighting were applied to other risks:
“We tried laws against murder, yet murders still occur. We must rescind those laws and learn to live with murder.”
“People are tired of not smoking, so we should just ignore the risks and allow smoking, again.”
“I feel safe driving drunk, so I should be free to do so.”
“Seatbelts can trap you in a car after an accident, so you should avoid wearing them.”
“There's a mass shooter in the mall, but I really want to shop, so I will do so.”
If it is not literally the warmest year ever, someone will complain that global warming has stopped.
Year-to-year fluctuations are a normal part of the ongoing global warming trend. Don't be distracted by the noise.

Thank you, thank you, *thank you* for being more than 20K to follow my art here. It's fantastic.
OK, language weirdness question.
Someone recently said:
"I just about caught the train."
Did they catch it or not? Perhaps it depends whether you think of English as (one of) your first language(s).
As always, if you're happy to do so I'd be grateful if you'd boost for reach, and to get beyond my circle of followers.
Thank you!
The stablecoin Tether claims it processed $18.2 trillion in transactions in 2022, more than both Visa and Mastercard. If this number is correct, it proves the market is heavily manipulated. There are almost 4 billion Visa cards in circulation vs. a little over 4.5 million Tether holders. If Tether claims 18-trillion in settlements, that means the average transaction size was almost 4-million. This market is completely fake, and propped up by wash-trading whales.
covid
Poignant article in the year of the Kraken variant:
"You could be forgiven for not realizing we’re still in the middle of a pandemic, considering the total absence of media coverage. If it was important, you’d surely be hearing about it, right? The last variant you heard about was likely omicron. The last you heard about vaccines was likely “we strongly encourage everyone to get boosted.” The last you heard about masks was that they work, but they’re not required. And why would you bother wearing masks anyway if, as the United States president himself proclaimed, “The pandemic is over”?
Here’s the truth: the pandemic is not over. It’s much worse than you have been led to believe. And unless you’ve spent the past several years reading scientific studies on the subject, it can be hard to convey just how wrong the public perception of COVID really is. Everything from how it’s spread, to how it’s prevented, to what it does once it’s in your body, is being tragically misunderstood."

Tiny Privacy Tip 🔒:
Do not give your name to your devices.
Give them their own unique unrelated name. Like Steve or Martha or CyberApple or MyMagicTinyPocketComputer ✨
Giving it your own name isn’t really helpful in any way to you, and through Bluetooth or WiFi scanning can make your name known to strangers in the vicinity you might not want to share your name with.
Giving weird unrelated names to your phones, computers, WiFi network, etc, is not only safer, it is also much cuter
