FYI all photos were taken with a Moto G Stylus (2022), most using (specifically Google Camera LMC 8.4) in HDR+ Enhanced mode. A few were taken with the native Moto Camera app. Usually I process them a bit in Google Photos to de-tilt as needed and correct the colors.

For extra atmosphere, most all were taken through the (very) dirty windows of the California Zephyr, which are thick, green, covered in water spots, and quite reflective, especially when the photo is taken at any angle at all.

Final taken on my trip in November- arriving at my CZ destination of .

From here I'll transfer to the for Kansas City. It's just a short layover - and they even managed to transfer all my luggage over correctly. A California Zephyr miracle!

After all the lead-up, the Missouri River was surprising brief and anti-climactic. A lot of the surrounding lakes and sloughs look just like it - not surprising since the are all located in old river beds.

Finally getting close to the river. We went south along the river bottoms for what seemed like an eternity before finally turning east and crossing the river.

It was a frozen day - more cold and ice have than in the Rockies. The Missouri River was steaming like the devil.

In light of the news of a cyclist being killed by a driver in #Toronto yesterday and another cyclist sustaining life threatening injuries from a driver, here's an article on that discusses how drivers can take a pro-active role in keeping everyone on the road safe.

It doesn't have to be an us-vs-them dynamic. All it takes is #empathy, #awareness of ourselves and our surroundings, #communication and #kindness.
