Reducing a $44bn asset to rubble is a lesson in dictatorship. It is entirely the fault of those charged with regulating online spaces and anti-trust, and definitely the fault of those advocating for a free market approach *just in case* the opposite of that is worse. The blind faith in ‘free markets’, when markets are rigged, partial , enormously favoring of the ruling elites *unless regulated*. Where is the self-reflection among the governance crowd for this complete disaster?

Anyone… and I mean ANYONE want to hire my #Canadian wife in the United States? We’ll go anywhere.

I need to get back home, and as quickly as possible.

A green card application for us could take 12-20 months. A work visa would be ideal. She is Master’s level educated, works in #Banking w/ #Tech and #ProjectManagement experience.

The End Is Near

NASAs MESSENGER is again sending images back to Earth after the spacecraft emerged from superior solar conjunction, when communication is largely blocked by the Sun. These will be some of our last views of Mercury from MESSENGER.

Politico put it this way:

"The former president and the person that polls show is still the most likely GOP presidential nominee in 2024, today on Truth Social called for the suspension of the Constitution."

This poses a problem for journalists who would cover the 2024 election. By what logic can that coverage proceed?

Neutrality makes sense only within a constitutional order that his candidacy is trying to upend. "Just report the news" pretends this will be a normal campaign.

Thinking of two very rich people who, each in his own way, trampled into the dirt institutions created by multitudes. It seemed they wanted power and felt their money entitled them to it. But then it turned out what they really wanted was attention; approval; appreciation; esteem. Mainly, attention.
