@douglaspynn@mstdn.ca @petergleick the murky guidelines and the obvious continued existence of the virus means that most of the world population has accepted the end of the pandemic as the 5th of May 2023, but some have not. It means that most people have accepted the risk like they accept the risk of auto accidents, it’s much to do with how risk averse people are.

Two more #SegaGenesis games I never played in my younger days acquired, and at a price I couldn’t refuse!
…and already beat #Quackshot last night. 😅 Definitely an interesting game, especially with the whole element of hopping between areas. But, a few super annoying parts brings the game down a tad.
Only briefly tried #SubTerrania, and boy did it kick my ass.
@mollipen Quackshot is a really good game! I miss the Duckverse games so much.
@alexkidman this is a pretty good game that’s not appreciated enough.

My #retro game of the week this week has a little bit of everything: Steve Jobs to Disney, lawsuits to unicycles, frozen pizza to me shaking my fist at the sky and more.
A true classic (and effectively "lost") gem of the SNES library, it can only be Unirally!

I think the #steamdeck has achieved something even better than making handheld PCs really good, even better than giving us a #Linux based console that is also a decent desktop.
It made a Linux based system a major player in the #gaming industry, instead struggling to justify supporting Linux gamers, even if only through #wine, now games companies actually feel pressured to make sure they do support it: because there is a lucrative market they don't want to miss out on.
