@thelinuxEXP For context, the UK government is centre-right to right-wing and they've been pushing to end end-to-end encryption for years. In general, I don't think politicians can be trusted to be custodians of technology, no matter where they sit in the political spectrum.

When it comes to gaming I'm very much in an action mood. In terms of modern games I'm playing Farlight 85, Party Animals, Vampire Survivors, and Garbage Pail Kids: Mad Mike and the Quest for Stale Gum.

Just a quick reminder that has a split screen mode and is hilarious! This is a fun party game :D

@Linux_Is_Best@mastodon.social this is just part of the long and very slow journey to dumping the Windows NT kernel and adopting Linux as the kernel for Windows. That's why WSL exists, MS recognises Linux is needed for a lot of real life work and can't obviously dump Windows as we know it now quickly, but they can slowly integrate it with WSL, then move towards having Linux as a kernel with a compatibility layer to run legacy Windows software and eventually dumping it altogether.

Anyway, I may be wrong. But I've had this suspicion for a while.

@steamdeckhq if you want to play a Battle Royal game on Deck I cam recommend Farlight 84. It runs at a steady 60FPS even on some of the higher graphics settings.

I de-activated my Twitter account today. I had decided to keep it without posting a while back, just in case anyone would try to use my handle to write weird stuff and impersonate me, but I realized there’s no way I’m ever going back to Twitter and posting anything there.

If someone impersonates me, well, since Twitter has become so ridiculous and toxic, I’m sure people will accept that it’s not me talking.

I wasn’t using this account, and hadn’t for something like a year, so, bye « X »!

The newest #SteamOS update is setting the scene for the next giant update on #SteamDeck. But, if you are overlocking or dual booting, you may need to set it up again after the update is done.

We're working on removing all Twitter integration from CoffeeGeek.com, starting tomorrow. There's a lot to do.

I have a long thread, a "call to action" to the remaining #coffee community on Twitter, ready to post on October 10th, my last day on that platform.

If it entices any companies, services, charitable organizations, brands, or individuals in the specialty coffee sphere to make the leap here, I know many of you will welcome them with open arms.

Stay tuned! :)

Winamp. It really whips the llama's ass. 🦙

@memeinmymastodon@mastodon.social who doesn't drink ranch straight out of the bottle?

@eRileyKc low CG, tiny overhangs, it probably handles like a kart despite the looks.

@mudasobwa makes a camping canopy an impossibility or any other large cargo, sadly.

This mini pickup EV is almost perfect. It's called the Telo and it has the same bed length as a mid-size pickup like a HiLux but it's the same overall length as a small hatchback. There may be safety challenges with that super short nose, but in terms of practicality I'm impressed.

500HP is a little insane and very 2023 where almost every EV is overpowered. But hey, it's better than underpowered.

Just thought of something. The internet is filled with ads, and especially social media so ripe with it (and product placement).

But with linked in it feels like everyone is personally selling. It’s like steeping into social media where everyone is a sales person that knows your name.
