@ilumium @mozilla I have a modern pickup truck from Isuzu (from 2021/22) that's so basic that there's little risk of this happening. One advantage of buying base models.

On long video games: bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-a

I love games like Castlevania and Zelda, but I start them very sparingly because they are time drains. So I'm divided, on the one hand, an epic long game can be an incredible experience, on the other hand, it's very time-consuming entertainment that at times I can do without.

@ayo This toot made me want to move 😢

PS: We have a Filipino Christmas lantern in the UK :)

In the 🇵🇭PH, it was more common to take long vacations during the weeks approaching Christmas, in which kids also have long breaks.

We take the Christmas season there seriously: it takes up the whole “ber” months (September onwards), with a couple of days short break for Holloween 👻 on Nov., then Christmas resumes. 😄

I bet there are Christmas trees and lanterns around already this time. 😁

@darth I'm excited but I am also dreading that it is too addictive :) I'll see how it goes!

I have to say that whilst the sun hasn’t been as gloriously bright here my first week back in the UK from the Philippines has been pretty good weather wise. I hope tomorrow is a good 29 to 31 for lunch so I can enjoy a sunny walk.

occasionally I remember that Apple released a $3500 headset

I took this picture of the back of Atari's upcoming 2600+
The difficulty switches are present as well as a toggle for widescreen or 6:4.
Most interestingly, I was told they're hoping to be able to provide updates through the USB-C power port, which suggests we'll be able to softmod this unit, which is very intriguing...!

With the UK banning what happens to legal uses? I’m curious, what happens to motorsports? As someone who likes going to to watch the races I’m wondering if a whole power adder is now illegal to own? Does this affect the UK’s position to host international drag racing events for certain classes?

@carnage4life I think the flexibility of working from home will depend on market conditions. When employees have more bargaining power, companies may offer working from home as an incentive to attract them. When employers have more control, they may require employees to work from the office. However, one thing is certain: employees have experienced the benefits of working from home and they want to keep them. The demand for working from home is strong and persistent. It is not something that can be easily reversed.

The game still remains loot dependent, get plenty of shields and good scopes early on and you have a massive advantage! There are less hiding places than in Fortnite so it's easy to pick off players from far away, even at Steam Deck resolutions.
