There may be pitfalls to this suggestion that I have not yet discovered. But…. I think I may be an early discoverer of “Arc Search”, a web browser that can “browse for you” and produce useful summaries of lots of web pages all automatically.

This seems very useful.

I asked it for the history of Bracknell and clicked “browse for me”. Look at what it produced; one solid page of information, followed by links to the source material.

@bloor
Is this a function of the Arc Browser developed by The Browser Company? I took a look at that a year ago but it required me to ‘sign-in’ before use so turned away.

@guardeddon unsure! But no sign in was necessary with the app, and the app was free. At least on Apple.

@bloor sounds useful, will follow up. Sorting wheat from chaff is such a timesink. Thank you.

(The Arc browser promo emails dried up around July, either they gave up or gave up on me!)

@bloor Yes, same company. Must say their ‘pitch’/product summary is not what it could be.

@guardeddon @bloor it's their new mobile app; I'm a user of both that *and* the desktop app, and I'm very impressed with both. They're doing impressive work actually reinventing the browser.
