Idle observation: a couple of weeks ago a pretty high % of posts here were about how birdsite sucks; often a bitter landing at how the bird site made the move necessary.
Now most of the posts here are about more substantive things.
But the *tweets* there now! So many folks deeply, deeply bitter about folks leaving for mastodon. A curious inversion, and how furious at people leaving!
The reason seems simple enough tho. Folks see it in their TL, but too heavily invested to move yet
@Pwnallthethings high profile accounts seem most hesitant to leave. which is sort of understandable. although I noticed that because relatively few of them moved those that did got pretty large followings here quickly. still not nearly as large as they had on twitter.
