I just had a knee surgery at Toronto Western and their attitude to masking is somewhat
laissez faire. On one hand they do ask everyone to wear masks in the hospital website and most people do. on the other hand this is not enforced **at all** and some people don't. Also, I didn't see anyone beside me in N95 level masks either among the staff or visitors. #COVIDisNotover
@charlottekl Agreed. In Ontario the masking measures are driven by policy on the provincial level. Our medical establishment is **still** refusing to accept that COVID is airborne and all preventive measures have only been against droplet transmission. But even so, doctors and nurses should really know better and N95 level masks are easily available and cheap. #COVIDisNotover
@herid Yeah somehow people including some doctors still don't understand that it's airborne - I mean, I guess most of them would agree if you said it, but that doesn't translate into action. I constantly meet people who are confused how they caught #COVID being like "but I just ate in a restaurant with my friends and they didn't have it".
