@w7voa so far outrage has been rather muted, unfortunately. It seems pretty clear that Musk is trying a new tactic here: doing something dastardly but not commenting at all and waiting to see if he can just ride out the PR cycle. Seems to be working in this case. It certainly hasn't led to a bump in Mastodon sign ups like previous Musk dust ups. In fact, they continue declining.

#blockapi isn't the type of event to trigger a migration
But it starts the isolation of #twitter and loses developers who improved its product. Gives them an incentive to get something big working on #Mastodon
