Fun fact: In Polish we still use #GlobalWarming (globalne ocieplenie) as opposite to the #ClimateChange.

Climate change always struck me as such a misleading term - in my mind it's avoiding the problem (the climate is changing... in whichever way it might be) and making it look like a natural thing.

I guess Global Heating would be more accurate (it looks closer to the level of desperation we have), but I'll take Global Warming any time over the Climate Change.

@MarcinW in the US media they used to mostly say Global Warming. If I recall correctly that changed around 20 years ago (not sure on exact timing - the change took time). The "official" line was that Climate Change is more accurate because other things than just temperature change like changes in wind and precipitation patterns. But I agree with you, they should have stuck with Global Warming, or Global Heating for the reasons you state.
