Some people simply refuse to shift.
There are also folks who deny that the other gears exist. :)
Relatively early start, but the weather has been perfect. First boil of the #maplesyrup season here.
@brewcitychaser Weird doesn't begin to describe it.
I think we're getting closer to tapping the maples here in SE Wisconsin. Did not chase the late Jan to early Feb warmth (with few good freezes) and hope it pays off. #maplesyrup
Anyone remember the rocket in Super Mario Bros 2?
Decided to design and print it. 3" diameter and barely fits a 24x95mm motor. Rear-eject.
@BlackAzizAnansi I'll also add Forrest Gump.
@BlackAzizAnansi Dead Poets Society
That made me think that anything Robin Williams did should be off limits.
@jerzone Zwift's trainer difficulty setting needs to be adjusted up to get a better feeling of road gearing needs.
I used to run 50/34 when I raced road bikes, but find 46/34 chainrings about ideal for everyday riding. Then a 11-28, 12-27, or 11-26 cassette is perfect, but we're flatter here. Still fine for Western WI hills too.
On my CX bike, I have gone 1x but that was for racing. A 38t ring and 11-32 is pretty good for that and ok for everyday riding, but the jumps are more pronounced between cogs.
@jerzone Yeah, all mechanical. I have no desire to charge even more damn batteries.
@jerzone I'm still in the road/gravel 2x camp. Wide range cassette means too large of gear jumps. I like a consistent cadence.
@jerzone Yeah, it's time for me to replace ours. Thanks for the reminder.
@IoanSaid We expect a full report 😃
Oh, and the birds and wildlife.... you're in for a treat.
I've only been there once, staying a couple nights in San Jose, then more a week in Arenal and Manuel Antonio. Enjoyed it immensely and the people are great. Enjoy the fresh fruit. It's amazing.
