Which IAL do you think is the best?
Do you think Esperanto's better than Toki Pona or any of its clones?

This question always comes back to the issue of: what do you want to use a particular language for? Although there are many IALs, Esperanto is the only one which is well-known, and as this site proves, well-used.
All IALs were created by someone with a vision for the world, whether like Zamenhof, it was born out of the frustration of living where there are too many "natural" languages, or the idea that a neutral language clears the mind and allows more direct thought.
Esperanto is not *better* than Toki Pona, it's simple more expressive and more developed and better supported for its role as global communication tool and that's what it was designed for. Teaching a common language to a group of multi-lingual toddlers so they can all play together might be a job for Toki Pona (or something else).
It comes down to the right tool for the job.
