A seeker tread the forest path,
Searching for another soul.
Not in cruelty he walked that way
But with a simple goal:

To find one in that greenwood realm
Who knew less than he.
For wisdom comes through teaching
And sharing what we see.

He sought no prize of ego's gain
Nor wanted to inflate his mind.
Just hoped to meet upon that way
Another heart and mind.

For when we find who needs us more,
Our mission is revealed:
To shine the light we've been granted
So another may be healed.

This walking fool knew wisdom's way
Though figured not for sage.
He only walked the forest path
To reach the next page.

For when the learner becomes the teacher
The lesson's fully learned.
And those who walk to give, not gain,
The greatest wisdom earn.
