Last remnants of systemd removed

@mangeurdenuage

Hyperbola: We have finally removed systemd. It took us five years and now our distro doesn’t work.

Slackware: What the fuck is systemd? Anyway, I have to keep being the bastion of rock solid Linux distros without expecting any acknowledgement in return.

Si alguien con tuiter quiere redirigirles y hablarles del #Fediverso, creo que es una oportunidad inmejorable.

@ElMichel Supongo que alguna ventaja tenía que tener no haberse desahogado nunca.

If you're in the UK and use energy, please pledge to stop paying your energy bills in October with dontpay.uk.

Even if you can afford it, please pledge, for solidarity with those that will be driven into poverty by the government pushing the price rises onto us, and not onto the producers who are filing massive profits right now.

@hfaust I would never date a Mallory, as I have read Applied Cryptography and know what kind of people they are.

@strypey Well, I don’t want to hear them complain about being objectified, then.

Today I finally watched the last Evangelion movie. I’m satisfied and disappointed at the same time.

@veer66 @thisisfilber7@mastodon.social Yep. Just copying them to ~/.local/share/fonts/<fontname> or /usr/share/fonts/<fontname> should work. Then run fc-cache -fv. That’s about it.

@5uie1 From what I saw in the screenshot, bash seemed to be a dependency of neofetch. Some distros and OSs remove them when nothing uses them anymore. Not Slackware, fortunately.

@niconiconi If it helps, she isn’t an anime girl, either.

@anders You should probably update your version of LO. Latest is 7.4. I believe the one you have is two years old now.

I would also ask your supervisor for her version of MS Office. Maybe it’s an old one and she should be the one upgrading. Alternatively, you may offer to install LibreOffice on her machine. To be honest, I think she should adapt to you and not you to her. I mean, if you’re a student, how are you supposed to buy an MSO license? I bet hers was paid by her employer, but who will pay for yours?

@urusan Can you please add an option to your polls that reads: “I have no idea” or “I’ve never even thought about it, tbh,” so I can answer to them at least once?

@anders You’re definitely not ready if you don’t even know that it is spelt LaTeX.

But anyway, what version of LibreOffice are you using? I read somewhere recently that the latest version had improved its interoperability with MSO products.

@ElMichel

¡Qué lejanos quedan aquellos tiempos…!

Sí, qué lejanos quedan, gracias a Dios.

@lydiaconwell Fortunately not. I do have 100 followers (I got them all for free, just by being interesting) and a good part of them are alts of the same people. Numbers mean shite here, that’s what I’m saying.

Now, if you consider friendly relationships wth people all over the world valuable, then yes, they are, but more for their quality than their quantity.
