@ayo If you're talking about the flag icons and similar stuff, those should _not_ be SVG files. SVG should be reserved for very basic UI-related iconography, like reply/repost or previous/next page symbols. Flags are too complex for SVG. You could use a PNG or JPEG sprite for them, if you're that worried about performance, but most browsers would make a single request for each flag and cache the rest, anyway. That sounds like a case for server cache headers to me, not a frontend issue.

Also, if the flags represent languages, plain text abbreviations would probably be better suited for the purpose. Platforms are a different beast, of course.

All that said, the way it is now, the page loads very quickly in the two browsers I've tried, so I'm not sure optimising it would be worth it, but, of course, you know your website better than me.

@ayo What kind of files do you use? Also, do you really use all of them on each and every request?

@ayo Why don't you just paste the SVG file's code in your template or HTML?

@ayo In a normal situation, you can easily do that by using your browser's developer tools. But, of course, if you use JS (or Perl) to generate HTML dynamically, it may be more complicated. My advice would be that, if you're really forced to do it that way for some sick reason, you use HTML <template> elements and identifiable class names or id attributes, so you can have some traceability. Also, never use stuff like Bootstrap.

@ayo Creating unique class names for every element goes against the very concept of the class attribute. You can, however, dynamically create unique id attributes. That is usually a good idea. If you're using templates, you probably can do that easily.

@smaurizi Everything points to a psyop, to be honest. I mean, the leaks themselves are not very impressive and the media was all over them when they mostly ignored similar, more important stories. (The NYT even published an article dismissing WikiLeaks' and Snowden's revelations in favour of these ones. There were even interviews with people who allegedly knew the leaker before he was detained or identified by name.) There are discrepancies in the news coverage (the NYT defined the leaks as "fresh" while Joe Biden said the info in them was "not contemporary"). It all seems badly scripted.

Dejaron solo al pobre hombre apoyado en una columna y con la copa en la mano. Tenía la misma cara que Miyamoto. @esheep If you really can't/won't quit Twitch altogether, you could use any of the Fedi alternatives just for those particular streams. At the very least, you'd be doing some free testing for those sites and free publicity for the musicians, as you just said.
