@CSB @coldacid @joshbdoc Apple has so much cash on hand they could literally rebuild from scratch in less than a year if the entire company was blown off the face of the earth.

Apple, Meta, and Twitter aren’t going away any time soon. They’re large, and they keep their customers happy. Advertisers are the customers of Meta and Twitter, users are their product. I’m a satisfied Apple customer. Their products aren’t perfect; nobody’s are, but they mostly work and are very pretty.

Satisfied Apple customer = doesn't care about privacy = doesn't care about "right to repair"

After all, you keep supporting this terrible company so that they can keep screwing people over. And let's not forget about the child labor that made your iProducts.

@joshbdoc @ned @coldacid @CSB I buy what works for me. You buy what works for you. The market decides which companies survive. Well, the market SHOULD decide which companies survive. Instead, people vote to point government guns at the companies they don't like. The small companies get taxed and regulated out of existence.

Sorry, I wasn't trying to be a jerk. I :100_queer: agree with you that the market should regulate itself and that this is not happening now.

Just remember that we empower closed proprietary systems when we use products from some of these companies. These companies gain more power over people when they use their products. Kudos that you're on Mastodon & now we just need to get others to check it out.
