Replacing the TED socket on my #Commodore #C16.
They used quite low quality sockets in production.
From experience I can say that modern turned high quality sockets aren't ideal either, so I went with dual leaf ones.
Using an inexpensive desoldering station makes me wonder why I ever put up with a solder sucker.

Browsing patents today and found the iconic #Commodore 1520 plotter from 1983 has a design patent, awarded to Ira Velinksy (who also did the Plus/4). I arranged the illustrations into a page and of course I plotted it ☺️ 11”x17” with 0.25mm pen on vintage HP 7550+.
