All of the #freecad parts in the post last night are from a 1970's drafting textbook that I have. I decided to try modeling the entire assembly to show that you can do it just fine using the Assembly3 workbench to put it all together after modeling each individual part. It really wasn't any harder than doing it in something like SolidWorks. @FreeCAD is an incredibly powerful tool, and it makes me happy to see more and more people realizing that and using it.

@f @FreeCAD Thank you! To be honest, I’ve thought about doing that. If people would be interested in watching?

@FreeCAD @f If I did a live stream, what would you want it to be? Just creating examples to show my approach? Do you have a particular topic that you would like explained?

@chrishuck @FreeCAD @f I learn a lot by watching seasoned users create their cad models. There's so much functionality in a tool like freecad, and I remember my first encounters where I had an idea for a model in my head but I had no idea how I was meant to use this tool to create that model. Over time I've learned some techniques, but I can still struggle as parts get more complex. I'll miss the best approach to start, to avoid cludges and poor references down the road. (That said, I don't watch so many live streams, but I'll binge watch them after the fact.)
