@skyglowberlin I took my grandkids out twice to make observations. They noticed how many more stars they could see when the neighbor's FIVE outdoor lights were off. The crazy thing is that the lights are on the back of the house, facing the kids' back yard and not 200 feet away.

@lasermom Yes, one of the possible explanations for the results of the study being so dramatic is a rise of additional and especially cooler white lights that are near to observers.
