I just sent a DM to someone and my message showed up on my timeline. Not sure if it was only visible to me, but what the fuck is that about?
@fortninety agree. Mastodon apps suck, there are too many of them, the server you make a profile on has different features than others, the hoi polloi don't care about federation. I tried to make a server last weekend and it would cost $30 a month "to respect my freedoms".
But we're here and a bunch of professional hacker types are too so it can't be that bad! Need to find more art things.
