It feels so good to gamble on Tesla losing
@lazzarello I'd rather hope that the fossil fuel industry loses. We need to keep the #EV transition going and they are by far the biggest and best right now. Sure wish they would get a new CEO. #Climate first.

EVs are not the solution to climate change, trains, bikes and walkable cities are. Also while Tesla is the biggest now, other manufacturers like gm, Ford and Nissan, etc. are catching up and are far less hostile to unions and have better leadership. Tesla is not the best or only route to fighting climate change.
@michaelbmitchell @lazzarello #EV's are certainly part of the solution so I don't hope for them to fail. Knowing GM and Ford history with EV's puts them on the wrong side of the problem. The *only* reason that they are making EV's now is because of Tesla. I hope Musk fails but not Tesla (with over 100,000 employees).
@garykrysztopik @michaelbmitchell @lazzarello in the meantime, a silver lining of Tesla becoming $90,000 MAGA hat is that it might actually get some MAGA types to buy an EV. I suspect that the amount is likely negligible, but it’s a nice thought.

The top of the line model 3 goes 0-60 in 3.1 , which is comparable to the top of the line mach-e which does it in 3.5 . Both are fun but I doubt the top end price tags will appeal to everyone.
